

He lived his life with faith, hope and 6&20 love and an unwavering devotion to his family. Surviving are his children, Charlotte (Sean) Tucker of Pompton Lakes, NJ, Howard (Jennifer) Fischer of Danville, IN, Brett (Paige) Fischer of Bloomington, IN, and Stephanie (Bill) Collis of Roanoke, IN, his 11 grandchildren, Nick (Kelly), Ben (Danielle), Rachael (Claire), Samuel, Bryce, Elliot, Erin, Kitima, Cohen, Gabriel and Andrew, and his 3 great grandchildren Liana, Jacob and Dorothea; His sisters Nancy Riecks of North Canton, OH, Peggy (Mike) Holewinski of Toledo, OH, Heidi (Jim) Smith of Toledo, OH, and sister-in-law Bonnie Fischer of Swanton, OH, and dozens and dozens of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roger and Loretta Fischer, his wife of 50 years Marilyn Fischer, his brother in law Bill Riecks, his sister Jill and brother in law Nelson Edwards, and his brother Jim Fischer.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 3-6 pm at D.O.McComb & Sons Funeral Home- Pine Valley, 1320 Dupont Road Ft. Wayne, IN. There will also be visitation Monday, February 23, 2026, from 10-11 am at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 1502 East Wallen Road Ft. Wayne IN. Followed immediately by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
The family invites friends and family to join them in wearing a “pop” of red to the funeral in honor of his passion for the St. Louis Cardinals.
