Hugh Stanley Glidewell, DVM, 77, passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2023, in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born September 19, 1946, in Fort Wayne, IN, the son of the late Marvin E. and Betty R. Glidewell.
He practiced Veterinary Medicine as owner of Waynedale Animal Clinic for 53 years. He was the past President of Northeast Indiana Veterinary Association, and a member of American Veterinary Medical Association. As a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, he sang in the choir for many years.
Hugh is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rhea K. Glidewell, brother, Roger (Sondra) Glidewell; sisters, Marcia Glidewell and Rita Korn, all of Fort Wayne, IN.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Friday October 27, 2023 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church 2417 Getz Road Fort Wayne, IN with visitation 2 hours prior. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.
