

Mrs. Irene Taylor Holman passed from this life peacefully at the young age of 101 years on Monday, July 5, 2021 at the Evergreen Village. She was born March 17, 1920 in Terre Haute, Indiana; and was a daughter of the late Stancil and Pansy Haskell Taylor.
On December 4, 1965, she married the late Robert Holman.
For many years, she worked at IPFW University as secretary to the Chief of Police. She was a member of the Covenant Methodist Church. She was a past officer of the Order of Eastern Star, Red Hat Society; Strawberry Tarts Chapter in the Village, Florida.
She loved hosting dinner parties with friends, playing cards and being with family.
Irene leaves to continue her legacy to her daughter, Janice (Dennis) Arnold; stepdaughter, Mary Rogers; sisters, Virginia Shaw and Carolyn “Kaye” Horner; two grandchildren, Monty Tschappat of Ocala, Florida and Tama Tschappat of Fort Wayne; three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Steven D. Black, also preceded her in death.
