Jacque V. Klutz, 75, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, after a short but courageous battle with ocular melanoma. She was born in Warren, Indiana to the late Herschel L. and Doris E. (Smith) Simpson.
Jacque’s working career included time as an assistant dental hygienist at Dr. Ken Roller’s family dental office as well as many years in the finance department at Vera Bradley, where she eventually retired. During Jacque’s time of illness, she was continually visited, cared for, loved and comforted by countless family members, her life-long friend group and many talented medical professionals.
Surviving are her children, Zachary (Tera) Klutz of Fishers, Indiana and Rachael Klutz of Fishers, Indiana; grandchildren, Alyx Klutz and Julian Klutz; sisters-in-law, Charlotte (Fred) Jarf of Oceanside, California and Donna (Steve) Beaver of Bippus, Indiana; and beloved granddogs, Margo, Leo and Vinny. Jacque was preceded in death by her late husband of 47 years, Larry Klutz, and brother, Leon J. Simpson.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, at D.O. McComb and Sons, Covington Knolls Funeral Home with the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at D.O. McComb and Sons, Covington Knolls Funeral Home with one hour of visitation prior to the Funeral.
Jacque’s family would like to extend their thanks, appreciation and gratitude for the care Jacque received from the doctors and nurses at IU Health Simon Cancer Center, including Dr. Theodore F. Logan and the Simon Cancer Center nursing staff, as well as the many nursing professionals at Heritage Point of Warren.
