

James (Jim) Edward Ault, age 89, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday April 12, 2025 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born on September 4, 1935 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Harry E. and Helen (Wyss) Ault.
Jim graduated from Southside High School in Fort Wayne in 1953, regularly catching up with his highschool friends when visiting Fort Wayne.
He enlisted in the Air National Guard of Indiana in February 1954 as an Aircraft Jet 1 Eng Mechanic.
In late 1955 he relocated to San Diego, California near to his much loved brother Bob and sister-in-law Peggy and their growing family to begin his career as a machinist. Jim's career as a machinist continued at Lockheed Aerospace in Sunnyvale, beginning in 1962. His career progressed with a promotion to Manufacturing Planner requiring extensive security clearance.
Jim was devoted to his Christian Faith, becoming Born Again on January 10, 1965, studying and reading his bible daily up until his passing.
Jim began his dancing career in Sunnyvale, meeting his wife Mozelle in 1978 and marrying her in 1979.
He retired after 30 years of service with Lockheed in 1992, relocating to Mesa, Arizona with his wife Mozelle.
He was a passionate Square/Round Dancer and RV Traveler during his retirement in Arizona. Jim was well known within his dancing community for being generous with his time and always available to help others. He was also known for his love of baking, always up for a chat and an all around "Can Fix Anything Kind of Guy". He will be missed by many.
Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Ault, Sister, Marjorie Abbott, sister-in-law Peggy Ault and son-in-law Emile Glenny.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mozelle Ault; Sons, Tony Garcia and Scott Mixon; daughters, Lupe (Tony) Suffle, Rosanna (Matt) Gowan, Patricia Glenny, Barbara Suarez and Karla (Kyle) McManus; 15 grandchildren, Tony (Susanne) Garcia Jr, Marco (Monica) Garcia, Bianca Garcia, Denise Cuenca, Samantha Suffle, Philip Gowan, Paul Gowan (Jenny), Candice Henry (Isaac), Stephanie McNeil, Jade Suarez, Morgan Suarez, Ashley Peterson (Tim), Alyssa Weaver (Ben), Katelyn McManus, Lily McManus. 15 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
A visitation for Jim will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805, followed by a Funeral Service, at 10:30 AM, with burial to follow at Lindenwood Cemetery.
