James Everett Creek

James Everett Creek, 78, passed away December 25, 2022 at Kingston at Dupont in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born May 20, 1944 in Bluffton, IN, the son of the late Everett L. and Ruth Ella Creek. He graduated from Bluffton High School, Bluffton, IN 1962 and earned an Associate’s Degree.

James was an Electronics Technician and started his career in 1964 at Magnavox and retired after over 30 years of service. After retirement he worked at Verizon for 5 years.

James was an avid Nascar fan he enjoyed reading, traveling, loved playing golf, fishing and bowling in his younger years. He was a diehard Detroit Red Wings fan. James enjoyed attending concerts and listening to music.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda L. Creek of Fort Wayne, IN; son, Jeffrey B. (Melanie) Creek of Huntertown, IN; daughter, Shelli L. (Dan) Lipinski of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Gracie (Daniel) South of Huntertown, IN; Cory (Sasha) Lipinski of Peru, IN; Cierra (Ryan) Volkert of Auburn, IN; Kristin Lipinski of Bloomington, IN; and 2 great grandchildren, Harrison Farber, Daphne Eve, and several nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his siblings, David E. Creek, Joseph L. Creek and Anita A. Blake.

Funeral service will be 1:30 Wednesday January 4, 2023 at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home 1320 E. Dupont Road Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
