James R. Hendrickson, Jr., 56, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012 in Fort Wayne. He was born December 29, 1955 to the late James R. and Wilma Jean Hendrickson, Sr. and was raised by James and June Hendrickson. He was a maintenance engineer for 15 years at Slater Steel and most recently at Taylor Made Glass. He enjoyed brewing his own beer, fishing, golfing, and being around his family and friends. He was also joined in death by his wife Cathy Hendrickson. He was preceded in death by his parents and June. He is survived by his children, Jason (Ruth) Banghart and Heather Hendrickson, a grandson, Christopher Banghart, and his siblings, Sue (Rex) Wert, Rick (Angie) Hendrickson, Jesse (Lori) Hendrickson, Frank (Elaine) Hendrickson, Kent (Terry) Lindzy, and Robbie (Tom) Croy. Funeral services for James and his wife will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 8010 West Jefferson Blvd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46804, with visitation two hours prior. Memorials may be made to Fort Wayne Rescue Mission or Fort Wayne Boys and Girls Club.
