

James worked as an Educator/Principal for 43 years at Tippecanoe School Corporation, Sterling Twin City Nazarene School, East Allen County Schools, and finished his career at Blackhawk Christian School.
He served as minister of music for numerous years, served as a Sunday school teacher, and was a member of the Kiwanis Club for a number of years.
James served on several boards in his church, community and school life, representative of his servant's heart.
The mission work he took part in, both stateside and in several different countries, was very near and dear to his heart.
He is survived by his wife of 3 years, Darcy Anderson Hunt; children, Amber (Kyle) Zimmerman and Aaron (Megan) Hunt; step-children, Clint (Adrienne) Anderson and Tara Stolz; grandchildren, Macy, Micah, Zoe, Xander, and Brylee Zimmerman, Abby, Mia, Maddox and Cali Hunt; seven step-grandchildren; siblings, Beth (Joe) Wallace, Jon (Julie) Hunt, and Andrew (Patti) Hunt.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Diann Hunt.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, 8611 Mayhew Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835. The service may be viewed via Facebook Livestream by visiting www.facebook.com/DOMcCombMaplewood.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm prior to the service.
Burial will be held in Highland Park Cemetery, Ft. Wayne, IN.
