Jane Ellen Borchelt

Jane Ellen Borchelt, 78, of Fort Wayne, was called home after a courageous battle with cancer on October 18, 2023 at Lutheran Life Villages. She was born to the late John and Ellen Prill on March 13, 1945. Jane was an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and enjoyed the lunch bunch and stitch and chatter groups. She was a Fort Wayne Komet's super fan since 1974. She loved to do Diamond Painting. Jane rode horses throughout her childhood. She enjoyed bowling and was on a league years ago. Jane worked at Zollner Pistons (KUS) until they closed their doors in 2010 when she was able to retire. She is survived by her daughters, Stacey (Brad) Pape and Shelley (Gary) Halter, stepdaughter, Theresa Dorais, grandchildren, Christian (Taylor) Baker, Abby Halter, Cole and Cade Dorais, great-grandchild, Calvin Baker and nephews Ron and Rich Rice. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Borchelt and sister Cheryl Mitten. Funeral services will be at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 9600 Saint Joe Road on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 5:30pm with calling one hour prior. Lyle Ewing will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be made to Parkview Hospice. Arrangements by C.M Sloan and Sons Funeral Home.
