Janis L. Wilson, born on May 20, 1939, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, peacefully passed away on October 7, 2023, at the age of 84. She was the cherished wife of Paul E. Wilson for 48 years and a devoted mother to Cindy (Bob) Biddle, Mark Horman, Mike Horman, Sherrie Wilson, Tim Wilson, Greg Wilson, the late Michael (April) Wilson, and April (Hezekiah) Chorba. Janis leaves behind a loving legacy, including 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Janis was the daughter of the late George and Mildred Goeglein and a loving sister to George (Laura) Goeglein and Jimmy (Ellen) Goeglein. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Mary (Albert) Reed and Doris (Richard) Pape. She will be remembered for her boundless love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
A commemoration of Janis's life will take place on October 12 at Highland Park Cemetery, with visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service. Janis' spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched with her warmth and joy.
