Jay graduated from Northrop High School in 1980, and earned his Associates Degree from ITT. He was a Supervisor at Excelwell Manufacturing for over 10 years.
Jay had a huge heart for all types of music. He played different guitars and several other instruments. He loved to write his own lyrics and music. Jay was a stay at home singer/songwriter. Jay loved and cared greatly for his companions, Stein and Fox. Jay and his wife, Sheila, were married for 33 years.
He is survived by his wife Sheila A. Weiler of Fort Wayne, IN, Stepson, Joseph Barron, Stepdaughter Diana (Justin Dergins) Vebert-Dergins, Brother, Ed McCutcheon, and his dogs Stein and Fox.
Jay was preceded by his parents and his brother Terry McCutcheon.
Private Service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Jay’s memory to Humane Fort Wayne. Arrangements entrusted to D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, IN.
