Jean Marie (Bradley) Mitchell, 62, passed away peacefully at Parkview Hospital surrounded by her loving family on December 7, 2020. She was born in Flint, Michigan to James T. Bradley and Barbara J. (Weikel) Bradley in February 1958. Jean met the love of her life, Jimmy Mitchell Jr., and they were married on October 20, 1975. The two of them were best friends and showed us the true meaning of love. Together they had two daughters, Jennifer and Jillian. They were known as the "Four J’s". They went on to have two grandchildren, Griffin and Morgan. Jean was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Jean's family was her pride and joy, especially those grandkids. If you knew Jean, she had a love for cooking and boy she could bake. She loved music, dancing, and shopping. Jean had a special bond with her father-in-law, Jim (Dad). Jean truly adored him. We also need to mention Jean's puppy, Bob. She had a love-hate relationship with him, but we all know she truly loved that little guy. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, James T. Bradley and Barbara J. (Weikel) Bradley and her brother, Bob Bradley. Surviving is her husband, Jimmy Mitchell Jr., of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Jennifer (Dustin) Mitchell of Leo and Jillian (Mitchell) Kakish of Fort Wayne; two grandchildren, Griffin Hartsuff of Fort Wayne, and Morgan Mitchell of Leo; and three Wonderful Bonus Grandchildren, Austin, Brandon, and James all of Fort Wayne. Also surviving are her brother, Thomas (Karen) Bradley of Burton, Michigan and Carol (Bradley) Clous of Traverse City, Michigan, plus all of her nieces and nephews. Jean loved her brothers and little sister and all those nieces and nephews very much. There will be no funeral services held. In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in memory of Jean to the Alzheimer’s Association.
