Jean Anne Weeks, 82, passed away March 8, 2025, at her home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Norfolk County, Kings Lynn, England, the daughter of the late Harold George and Kathleen Maude (Gibbons) Blyth.
She was an amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother and her family was her passion.
Jean was a kind and compassionate woman that was always ready to help anyone that asked. She possessed skills most of only imagined we had. She was a master of almost all trades and could fix or build almost anything she put her mind to. When she finished a project, it had to be perfect. If there was something could not fix, she would just jerry rig it to make it work. To describe Jean in one word would be “unforgettable”.
Jean is survived by her three daughters, Amanda (Mike) Murphy of Columbia, City, IN; Karen Ulrey of Fort Wayne IN; Kathryn Weeks of Zephyrhills, FL; grandchildren, Jenna Lea Jensen, Erin Murphy, Gabe (Miranda) Ulrey, Olivia (Jorden) Kindig and 6 great-grandchildren, Nara, Mira, Degland, Owen Elliott, Jorden Allen Jr., and Ava Layne. She is also survived by her grand dog, Peyton Manning and grand cat, Miss Kitty.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Weeks Jr. in 1973; and son-in-law, Blaine Ulrey in 2022.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday March 18, 2025, at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 4-8 pm Monday March 17, 2025, at the funeral home. Committal and burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Merriam Christian Chapel Cemetery, Albion IN.
