Jerry Dewayne Good

Jerry D. Good, 85, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on March 13, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born in Auburn, Indiana, on November 1, 1940, to the late Gerald and Augustine (Bell) Good.

He attended Auburn High School and served in the United States Army from 1957- 1959. Jerry was employed with Seyferts Foods for ten years and then self-employed for 25 years, retiring in 2003.

Jerry was an avid New York Yankee and Indianapolis Colts fan. He spent many summers showing off his classic 1957 Chevy at local car shows. Jerry and Rita spent many years traveling the Caribbean, South America and Mexico.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Good of 66 years; daughters, Lori (Mike) Arnold, Sherri Simpson of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Robby (Michelle) Watson, Shauna Watson and Landon Simpson; six great-grandchildren, Lynley, Raegan, Annalee, Adalynn, Rori & Xzaviour; brothers, Mike (Pam) Good, of Auburn, Indiana; John (Lisa) Good, of Auburn, Indiana; sister, Penny (Jim) Hobbs of Waterloo, Indiana; step-sister, Amy (JD) Stamper, of Butler, Indiana.

Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn; brother, Pete Good Jr.; stepmother, Josephine Jensen.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes-Covington Knolls, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 11:00 am at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Preferred memorial donations may be made out to the Kidney Foundation or Humane Fort Wayne.
