Jerry Allan Lagle

Jerry Allan Lagle, 76, passed away June 2, 2023, at Lutheran Life Villages Inverness in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born September 9, 1946, in Indianapolis, IN, the son of the late Ernest Banks Lagle and Irene Mae Lagle.

He graduated from Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business at Indiana University. He earned a master’s degree in finance from Bowling Green University in Ohio in 1974 and became a CPA in 1977.

He started his career with Ernst and Ernst in Indianapolis. He went on to serve as the Director of the Wright State Medical School in Dayton, Ohio, He also served as the Administrator of the Pratt Medical Center at Fredericksburg, VA. Throughout his career, he also served as Medical Director of medical group practices in Moorhead Kentucky and North Carolina. His final position before he retired was as the Administrator of the Bluffton Medical Clinic in Bluffton, Indiana.

One of his proudest achievements was when he earned his Fellow from the American College of Medical Group Administrators in 1991.

He played basketball and football in high school and was an avid Indiana University fan.

He was always known as the numbers man, focusing on money and playing the stock market.

One of his favorite hobbies was golfing, and absolutely loved gambling. He and his wife Linda were married in Las Vegas in 2012 and visited Vegas frequently! For the past 10 years, he and Linda loved traveling and sharing fun times together with family and friends.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Linda Ann Lagle of Fort Wayne, IN; children Cammie (David) Kennedy of Pittsboro, IN; Chad Lagle of South Port, IN; stepdaughter, Kathy (Evan) Detweiler of Fort Wayne, IN; brother, Jack Lagle of Avon, IN; grandchildren, Chance and Tanner Griffith, step-grandchildren, Madison, Kelsey and Kyle Detweiler.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan McComas Lagle in 2009, and a brother, Ernie Lagle in 2003.

Funeral Service will be 5:00pm Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne IN, with visitation from 2-5 pm at the funeral home. Committal and Entombment will be 11:00 am Thursday June 8, 2023, at Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN.
