Joan L. “Jo” Finton

Joan L. “Jo” Finton, 91 passed away Friday December 10, 2021 at Heritage Park Nursing Home, Fort Wayne, IN. She was born January 15, 1930 in Huntington, County, IN, the daughter of the late John C. and Mary D. Main. She worked for 40 years several companies in Fort Wayne as a Key Punch and Computer operator and retired in 1998. Joan volunteered at Home Bound Meals for 25 years, St. Joe Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN for 20 years, and St. Peters Catholic Church Food Pantry. Her memberships included St. Peters Catholic Church, Women of Moose and past deputy, and the Columbus Ladies K of C.

She is survived by her children, James W. ( Sandra) Finton, Raymond J. Finton, Cynthia (Louis) Guretis, all of Fort Wayne, IN; daughter in laws Cindy Finton-Fausnaugh , Janice Henry, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her husband John T. Finton; sons John R. Finton and Charles Finton, brothers, John C. Main, Joseph F. Main, James Main, Richard D. Main, granddaughter Kelly Finton, and a daughter in law Billie Jo Finton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Tuesday December 21, 2021 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church 518 E. Dewald Street, Fort Wayne IN, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 5-8 pm Monday December 20, 2021 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.
