

JOHN H. HESLEY, 90, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at home in Medina Ohio. Born March 14, 1924, in Fort Wayne, he served honorably in the 542nd Parachute Infantry Battalion based in Fort Benning, Ga. during World War II. He worked for Essex Wire Corporation, Lincoln Life Insurance, The News-Sentinel, and International Harvester. He was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. He is survived by his children, Stephen F. Hesley of Warren, Mich., Stuart M. (Laila) of Fredericksburg, Va. and Stanley S. (Irma) of Medina, Ohio; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse of 60 years, Catherine T. Hesley (Leto) on Nov. 11, 2008. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Burial will be a private service at Green lawn Memorial Park.
