

John Everett Mullenhour passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on June 24, 1948, in Lima, Ohio, he graduated from New Haven High School in New Haven, Indiana in 1966. He was a resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he built a life filled with love and family.
John proudly served in the United States Army. He was known for being honest and hard-working and retired from B.F. Goodrich after 44 years of service. John was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Linda Mullenhour of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and his daughters, Dawn (Russell) Lapp of Garrett, Indiana, and Sue Ellen Keeler of Fort Wayne, Indiana. John is also survived by his brother, Robert (Kiyoko) Mullenhour of California, and sisters, Lois (Robert) Campbell of Avon, Indiana, and Peggy (Kraig) Keller of Fort Wayne, Indiana. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Bradley Lapp, Casey Lapp, Jessica Keeler, and Jacob Keller.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Rolland Jay and Ruth Louise (Golden) Mullenhour, his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Dana Mullenhour, and his sister, Carol Weaver.
He was a passionate and avid bass fisherman and loved being on the water. John also enjoyed bowling during the winters, motorcycle rides, and traveling with his wife. John treasured spending time with his family, particularly the special moments shared with his grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation one hour prior with Rev. Dr. Jenothy Irvine officiating. Visitation also from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, October 10, 2025, at the funeral home. Committal and burial at Highland Park Cemetery.
