John Howard Nine Sr. 90, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away June 20, 2024, at River Terrace Retirement Community in Bluffton, IN. He was born September 8, 1933 in Monticello, IN, the son of Ernest and Ida Nine. After graduating from Roanoke High School he served in the US Air Force. He then started as an apprentice with Magnavox and retired after 38 years with an exceptional career as the Senior Model Maker.
He is survived by his sons, John (Lee) Nine Jr. of Fishers, IN and Dale (Angie) Nine of Markle, IN; brother, Ernest (Judy) Nine of Shriner Lake; 9 grandchildren;10 great grandchildren; and son-in-law, Ed Steinbacher.
John was preceded by his wife of 62 years, Dolores I. Nine; daughter, Linda Steinbacher; 4 brothers, 3 sisters and his parents.
Funeral Service will be 9:30 am Friday June 28, 2024, at Emmaus Lutheran Church 8626 Covington Road Fort Wayne, IN with visitation starting at 9:00 am. Visitation also from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Thursday June 27, 2024 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home 8325 Covington Road Fort Wayne, IN. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
