John Kevin Williams

John Kevin Williams was born February 7, 1954 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was the son of the late Johnnie Wells Otis Williams and Barbara Jean (Robinson) Williams. On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the age of 71, he passed away at Stillwater Hospice.

He was baptized at an early age and rededicated his life to Christ and united with Oakridge Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Elisha Harris, Jr. He would later unite with East Chestnut Church of Christ where he was a very active member serving under the leadership of Brother Ernest Miller, Pastor.

He attended Central High School and at the age of 18, enlisted into the United States Marine Corps serving his county until he received his honorable discharge in 1972.

Kevin’s work history consisted of J.C. Penney’s where he was a master bicycle assembler and BF Goodrich. He previously worked in housekeeping at the V.A. Hospital under the supervision of his mother, the late Barbara Jean Williams, until she fired him.

He was united in holy matrimony to Vicki K. Starnes on February 9, 2019. He was a devoted husband, keeping his vows, to love and cherish, and until death did they part.

Left to cherish memory include his beloved wife, Vicki Starnes Williams; children, Valrie D., Adam, Michael and Latasha; siblings, Selener (Bruce) Walker, Angela (Darrell) Manning, Sherrill Fullerton, Erica Timberlake; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He also leaves behind his beloved cats who he called “The Boys”, Buster, Dooley, Buddy and Baby Girl.

Kevin was also preceded in death by a son, Zachary, a daughter, Dee Dee and a brother, Frederick Williams.

Visitation is Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at New Covenant Worship Center, 3420 E Paulding Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46816. A celebration of life will follow starting at 11:00 am.

A graveside service will occur Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E 38th St, Marion, IN 46953.
