

As a young child, Joseph and his family moved to Coldwater, Michigan, and spent many years living at Lake George. He graduated from Coldwater High School in 1982, where he was a shining star of the Baseball and Golf Team. Joseph earned his Bachelor's Degree in Science from IPFW in 1997 with a degree in accounting. He was a former owner of Wagner Meinert LLC, and retired in 2021 with 25 years of service as the Chief Financial Officer. He enjoyed fishing, coaching, and watching his sons play baseball, and spending time at his Lake George cottage, only a few houses down from his childhood home. Joseph will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit, wit, and incredible sense of humor. To sum up his life, everyone loved, loved, loved Joe.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rhonda Deeter; sons, Joey Deeter and Andrew Deeter, both of Fort Wayne, IN; brother, Bill (Sara) Deeter of Plymouth, IN; sister, Diana (Keith Church) Butler of Coldwater, MI; step-mother, Barb Deeter of Fort Wayne, IN; mother-in-law, Sharon (Chon) Michael of Fort Wayne, IN; father-in-law, Perry (Nancy) Schroeder of Naples, FL; brother-in-law, Brad (Jodi) Schroeder of Melbourne, Fl; a niece, nephews, and amazing friends.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Bergstaff Place 2020 E. Washington Blvd. Fort Wayne, IN 46803. Arrangements by D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road Fort Wayne, Indiana.
