Joyce Eileen Baker

Joyce was a lifelong member of Simpson United Methodist Church where her servant’s heart found joy leading women’s circles and prayer ministry, doing hospital and nursing home visits, and encouraging the ministers. Praying for others and sharing her personal relationship with Jesus is Joyce’s legacy.

She is survived by her children, Ken (Nancy) Davis of Greensboro, NC; Kay (Bob) Frey of Monroe, IN; Julie Collins of Winter Haven, FL; Jim (Rosanne) Davis of Holland, MI; daughter-in-law Maureen Baker of Naples FL; brother and sister, Stan Possell of Spencer, MA; Sharon (Larry) Michael of Roanoke, VA; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, close friends Dave Bastian and Nancy Cerney.

She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Helen Possell, husband Lester Baker, son Don Baker, and son-in-law Robert Collins.

Funeral service is 11am Sat. Jan. 17, 2015 at Simpson United Methodist Church 2501 S. Harrison St., with visitation an hour prior.

Visitation is at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road 2-4pm and 6-8pm Fri. Jan. 16, 2015.

Burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
