J.R. Owen

JR OWEN, 66, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at home surrounded by family and friends. Born Monday, Jan. 7, 1952, he was a son of the late Forrest Junior Owen and Delores (Iddings) Chorpenning. He was a disabled veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Suzanne Coe-Owen; sisters, Vickie Huston of Albion, Ind., and Dee Williams of Ligonier, Ind.; brother, Harold Owen of Albion, Ind.; children, Josh Saylor of Fort Wayne and Shawn Kimmel of Angola, Ind.; stepchildren, David (Missy) Taylor of Indianapolis, and Jamie Taylor of Fort Wayne; and many grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roy Owen; and sister, Margaret Campbell. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N.
