Judy was born on August 16, 1939, in Fort Wayne, to parents Lawrence and Laucie (Waltenburg) Hambrock. She was a graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School.
In 1959, she married the love of her life, James Furge. She was a retired LPN and retired from Magnavox in 2001.
She loved golfing, bowling, crafting, sewing, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Judy is survived by her children, Theresa “Terri” Leonard, Christopher “Casey” and Andrew “Jay” (Alison) Furge.
Grandchildren, Jaime (Shaun Geise) Cheviron, Joshua (Leslie) Leonard, Joshua Hendricks, Danyel (Joshua Ahlersmeyer) Furge, Jacob and James (Shania Ray) Furge, Kaitlyn and Matthew (Shanna) Furge, Ashley (Nick) Gonzalez, Corey (Candace) and Bradley Henry.
Great Grandchildren, Caden and Calan Armstrong, Jason Albert, Serenity and Kaiden Geise, Sophia, Julianna, Olivia and Mateo Gonzalez, Lucas and Madison Hendricks, Capri Henry, and Mason and Owen Furge.
Sister-in-law, Patricia (Furge) Waltke, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her husband of 56 years, James Carl Furge; mother, Laucie and father Lawrence Hambrock; brothers, James Reyer and William Hambrock; and daughter-in-law, Marianne Henry Furge.
A visitation will be at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825, on July 17, 2025, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. A Prayer Service will be on Friday July 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with visitation one hour prior. Final resting place will be at Highland Park Cemetery.
