Judith Ann Richards, 77, of Fort Wayne passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Judi was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on April 7, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Rosemary (Gillman) Michell. She worked at Waynedale Elementary school as a teachers aid for 20 plus years. Judi was a lifelong devoted Catholic. She enjoyed reading, coloring, playing cards and most of all, time with her family. Judi is survived by her children, Milyssa (Andy) Birch, Khrysta (Jeff) Shimer, Ken (Beth) Richards, Andy (Monica) Richards, Tim Richards, and Dan Richards; step-children, Brent and Michele; grandchildren, Elly, Caleb, Jacob and Isaac Birch, Nash, Sam, Tom and Maddie Richards, Abby (Waylon) Richardson, Bailey, Emily and Brandon Shimer; great-grandchildren, Oliver Castillo and Evelyn Richardson; brothers, Bob (Jane) and Jim (Ann) Michell; sister, Jeanne (Gary) Minnich; brother-in-law, Stan Minnich; bonus grandchildren, Christian and Grayson; and her beloved dogs, Phoebe and Fiona. She was also preceded in passing by her husband, Michael Richards; and sister, Jayne Minnich. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Contributions in Judi's memory may be made to American Cancer Society or Riley's Children's Hospital.
