Katrina Ann Tompkins

It is with sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Katrina Ann Tompkins, 69, of Fort Wayne, Indiana on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. She was born on November 17, 1954 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of the late George Trendle, Sr. and Mary Jane Trendle. Surviving family include her sons, Michael (Diana) Tompkins and Jonathan (Dana) Tompkins; six grandchildren, Logan, Elijah, Evan, Noah, Zoye and Gracyn; sisters, Connie Trendle and Cheryl Trendle, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, George Jr., Samuel, and Norman Trendle. She lived most of her life in Indiana and Florida, along with six years in Egypt. She made lifelong friends wherever she went. She worked mostly in retail, several years in a photo lab and managed the school store in Egypt. She was a people person who loved to get to know her customers. She loved to do puzzles in her free time. There was nothing more important to her than her unconditional love for her children, grandchildren and family. She will be lovingly remembered as Sis, Mom, Kat, and Granny. Per Katrina's requests, no services are planned at this time and she will be laid to rest with her mother at Prairie Grove Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
