

As a baby her parents, Thomas and Lorraine B. Sheean, moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana where she resided the rest of her life.
She was a 1961 graduate of South Side High School. At the age of 40 and newly widowed she enrolled at Indiana Purdue University – Fort Wayne, where she completed her LPN. While working as a LPN she returned to college and enrolled in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse.
She would spend the rest of her life devoted to serving and caring for those who couldn’t care and/or defend for themselves. Her work career consisted of nine years of service at Woodview Manor Nursing Home and later Parkview Behavioral Health (PBH). She retired from PBH after nine years of service.
In her free time, she enjoyed reading, cross stitching and spending time with her family.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Sheean and Lorraine B. Lee; her husband, Irving Robbins and two sons, Paul and Eugene Miller.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Aimee (Michael) Collins; granddaughter, Samatha (Adam) Rariden; two great grandsons, Declan and Killian; a half-sister, Cathy Allison along with a host of extended family members and friends.
A visitation will be held at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Covington Knolls, located at 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804, on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Followed by her entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens.
