KENNETH E. LANGUELL, 81, of Fort Wayne, died on Sunday, Feb 19, 2017, 12:15 PM at home while in Hospice care. Born December 31, 1935, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Ray Sr. and Helen Languell. He retired after 30 years of service from the City of Fort Wayne’s Police Garage working as a mechanic. He was a life-long member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. His hobbies included working on automobiles, woodworking and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his son, Eugene L. (Sue) Languell of Columbia City; daughters, Tammi R. (Michael) Vore of Fort Wayne, Denise (John) Tesanovich of Tucson, Ariz. and Dawn M. Languell of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Graigory Vore, Austen Vore, Ryne Gurney, and Paige Swary; and four sisters, Marilyn Wallace of Mulberry, Fla., Janice Stanski of Fort Wayne, Linda Peters of Fort Wayne and Rita Mathy of Springfield, Ill.; six brothers, Fred Languell of Macclesfield, N.C., Ray Languell, Jr. of Scotia, N.Y., Tom Languell of Peru, Ind., Roger Languell of Fort Madison, Iowa, and David Languell of Deer Park, Washington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene C (Heaston) Languell;, sisters, Shirley J. Stimmel & Sue Gebhard; brothers, Gerald Languell, Richard Languell &, Norman Languell.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St.
Funeral service is 10:30 Thursday Feb. 23, 2017, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 917 W. Jefferson Blvd. with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Thomas Eggold officiating.
Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
Preferred memorials to Emmanuel Lutheran Church or Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
