Kenneth J. Stirratt Sr.

Kenneth (Ken) J. Stirratt Sr., 79, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on May 21, 2025. He was born in Moline, Illinois, he was the son of the late Robert Stirratt and Blanche Bird. On December 31, 1962, he married his childhood sweetheart, Rosalie (Hirst) Stirratt, and their remarkable journey spanned 58 years together. He served the Lord in ministry with the Church of the Nazarene for 51 years, faithfully preaching God’s word and representing Jesus’ unconditional love to everyone with whom he came in contact. Ken dedicated his life to serving God faithfully, to the love of his life, Rosie, and to his sons, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, and his extended family and friends. Ken loved spending time with his sons, daughters-in-law, as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren, sharing stories of his life with them often. He loved adventure and making memories with his family. His laughter always filled the room, and his compassion extended to all those with whom he came in contact. To the end, he continued to show the love of Jesus, the importance of His grace, and the reality of heaven. He is survived by his sons Kenny, Rob, Kevin (Diana), and Randy (Michaelle). His legacy continues through his grandchildren Megan, Kimberly, Ashley, Andrew, Daniel, Trevor, Aaron, Corey, and Jacob; and his eight great-grandchildren. Ken is also survived by his sister, Donna Hollis. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Rosie; his parents; brother, Robert; sister, Sandy; and his beloved granddaughter, Sara. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Boundless Church of the Nazarene, 6555 North Piqua Road, Decatur, IN.
