Nécrologie de Kent "Red Fox" Gerardot
Kent "Red Fox" Gerardot, 74, began his eternal fishing trip on May 16, 2020 with his wife & life partner of 43 years by his side. Red Fox was born, November 25, 1945 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Arcola High School in 1965. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served 4 years during the Vietnam Era. By trade he was a Brick layer and Stone Mason for 40 years. Red Fox was an active member of American Legion Post 241, VFW in Waynedale and president of the Fort Wayne Beagle Club for many years. Anyone who knew Red knew he was a man of many traits, but most of all knew he was a great outdoors man. He was in his Happy Place when he was either hunting, fishing on his boat, and playing golf. His hobbies were beagling and was a self taught taxidermist with many happy customers. Kent is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Reba (Martin) Hernandez; granddaughter, Della (Andrew) Bruno; great-granddaughter, Natalie Bruno; brothers, Terry (Sue) Gerardot and Lynn (Ruth) Gerardot; sisters, Dawn Gerardot Putnam and Luann (Tim) Robinson; and many nieces and nephews. Red will be dearly missed. A memorial service for Kent will be held on Friday, May 22, 2020 held at 1:00 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809 with visitation two hours prior. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kent's memory may be made to Visiting Nurse & Hospice and Northeast Indiana Honor Flight. The family would like to thank the staff of Visiting Nurse & Hospice for their care, respect, & dignity they provided to Red in his time of need. The family would also like to thank Kent's siblings; Terry, Lynn, Dawn, & Luann for their love, care, & companionship with Red during both of their times of need. Much love to you all.
