Kevin Jay Cox

Kevin Jay Cox (Skil), age 64, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2023, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 1, 1959, son of the late Jack and Florence (Hammons) Cox in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Kevin was a hardworking man of many skills, but his main skill was roofing. He was very sociable and enjoyed going to family and friends' gatherings. He loved going to his grandchildren's sporting events too. His distinctive laugh was unmistakable along with his larger-than-life bear hugs, arm and knee grips. He was a man who lived life to the fullest and along with his strong faith, accepted each day given to him.

He is survived by his significant other of many years, Lynda Moore; his sons, Kameron, Kody and Kyler Cox and his grandchildren Jaylynn, Jesse and Jerica Cox. Also surviving are sisters, Cathy and Deb; brothers, Ron, Steve, Dan, Roy, Tom and many nieces and nephews along with his beloved dog (Baby), who never left his side and his cat (Buddy).

Kevin was preceded in death by his son, Kaleb Cox and brothers, Gary and Dave Cox.

Celebration of Life to honor his memory will be held August 31, 2023 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm at Leo-Cedarville Park 9825 St. Joseph Street, Leo, Indiana 46765.
