STAFF SERGEANT KEVIN M. PAPE, 30, of Fort Wayne, was killed on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, in Afghanistan. Born Feb. 5, 1980, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Marc D. Pape and Karen S. (Teel) Pape. He was a U.S. Army Ranger serving in Afghanistan. Surviving are his wife, Amelia Pape of Savannah, Ga.; daughter, Anneka Pape of Savannah, Ga.; father and stepmother, Marc D. and Cheryl Pape of Fort Wayne; sister, Kristen Pape of Fort Wayne; stepbrother, Richard Barger of Washington, D.C.; and grandmother, Evelyn Teel of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen S. (Teel) Pape; and grandparents, Don and Phyliss Pape and Richard Teel. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Friday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Chaplain Jeffrey McKinney officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Preferred memorial to Special Operations Wounded Warrior Fund or the Susan G.
