Larry Lee Kain, age 80, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023. He was born June 11, 1943 in Fort Wayne to the late Dwight and Doris Kain. Larry enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served as an MP stationed in Japan and was inducted into the Order of the Golden Dragon. He graduated from Northside High School and worked for General Electric prior to opening his auto body shop, Larry's Corvette Shop on 4th Street in Fort Wayne. Larry relocated to California where he worked for Eddie Paul Stunts on the set for Dukes of Hazzard. Following California, he relocated with his family to Florida before returning to Indiana where he continued his passion for auto body work. Larry discovered eBay in the 90's and would continue to buy and sell into his retirement. He enjoyed restoring his '55 Chevy, working outside on his lawn, had an insatiable sweet tooth and special sense of humor. Larry is survived by his son, Levi (Courtney) Kain; and granddaughter, Lillian. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Kain. Funeral Service is 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 9, 2023 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling two hours prior.
