LeRoy Rutz

LeROY A. RUTZ, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016, at Harbour Assisted Living. Born Nov. 5, 1933, in Wayne dale, he was a son of the late Albert and Caroline (Springer) Rutz. LeRoy served in the U.S. Navy for six years and was also a member of the American Legion. He retired as a national sales manager with United Marketing in 1999. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, baseball, and spending time at the lake, but most of all, he treasured his time spent with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters, Suzan (Shawn) Neff, Sheri (Steve) Winfree and Kim (Rutz) Trocchio, all of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren, Jessica Ford, Dustin (Claire) Winfree, Nathan Trocchio, Matthew Neff, Kailee Winfree, Zachary Trocchio, Ryan Neff, and Bree Winfree; one great-granddaughter, Kristina Ford; and niece, Sandra (Jim) Kiefer Sechler. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Marlene (Bloom) Rutz; sister, Wuanita Kiefer; brother, Duane Rutz; and brother-in-law, E.M. Kiefer. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2016, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
