From his birth in Dekalb County, Indiana, through High School in Athens, Tennessee, his life led him through WW2 as a crew chief on a P47 Thunderbolt in the 61st squadron of the 56th Fighter group. Life then brought him back to Indiana to marry the love of his life, “Becky”. He became a corporate pilot for Central Soya, Essexwire, and North American Van Lines. Next came a successful career with Brotherhood Mutual and Mutual Security Life Insurance where he retired while serving as one of their Vice-Presidents.
Most folks called him “Harry” and he knew a lot of them from First Missionary Church in Fort Wayne where he served on the Deacon board, as head usher, and Sunday school teacher. His married life began at First Missionary in 1946 and remained a member the rest of his life.
He is survived by his son, Ken (Myrna) Hull; daughter-in-law, Shirley Hull; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Harrison was preceded in death by his beloved wife, “Becky”; son, Wayne; parents, William and Elva; and siblings, Irene Donahue, Datha Pettit, Gretchen Pearce, Garner Hull, Rachel Gray, Ruthanna Gaff, and Bea Houser.
Loving, hard-working and generous, Harrison has been a source of pride to his parents and to those of us who called him Dad. The best gift he gave us was a lifetime of watching him love Jesus.
