Linda Fern Faust

Linda Fern Faust, 88 of New Haven, Indiana passed from this life peacefully on September 22, 2025 at home with family at her side. She was a daughter of the late Claude Garren and Opal R. (nee. Purcell) Herzog born, October 21, 1936 in Clinton, Illinois.

She accepted Christ in her life at an early age. Linda met and later in life married Everett M.W. Faust on January 5, 1953. They spent many years together before his passing on November 20,1981."Pokie" as many knew her, worked as a cashier for Big Lots retiring in 1992. She loved playing Bingo, word search, puzzles and game shows, especially The Price is Right and Let's Make A Deal. Western movies and Chicago Med were her favorites as well.

Linda was also preceded in death by a son, Donald L. Faust, her daughter,Tina M. Stewart; a son-in-law, Vernon DeLong; a brother, Claude T. "Tom" Garren; and her great-granddaughter, Jazmin Faust.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Maryjane (Franklin, Sr.) Clendenin, Debra L. DeLong and a son, Gerald W. Faust; 10 grandchildren, Franklin Jr., Alice, Tracy, Cassie, Mickey, Pammy, Vernon, John, Billy and Angel; and 23 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

There are no services. A private Celebration of her life will be at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Melscheimer Cemetery in East Sparta, Ohio.
