

Luanne "Lula" Zehring (Kime), aged 71, passed away on November 25, 2024, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born on June 9, 1953, in South Mishawaka, Indiana, Luanne was a cherished individual known for her inner and outer beauty, and a profound dedication to her family.
She was born on June 9, 1953, in South Mishawaka, Indiana, to Robert K. and Donna T. (Wynn) Kime, Sr. She graduated from Mishawaka High School and furthered her education at Davenport College. She enjoyed a fulfilling career, retiring in 2018 as a scheduler for Beacon Home Care, Luanne was known for her dedication and care in her professional life, which mirrored her approach to personal relationships.
Family was the cornerstone of Luanne's life. She was an incredible mother and an even more fantastic grandmother, affectionately known as Lula. Her retirement years were joyfully spent in the company of her grandchildren, cherishing every moment together. Luanne's love for her family was paralleled by her strong faith and her role as a pillar of positivity and optimism. She was revered for her ability to listen and offer wise counsel, qualities that endeared her to friends old and new.
Luanne's laughter and smile were infectious, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. Her personal interests included watching Notre Dame and Chicago Bears football, enjoying time with her grand dog, Josie, and listening to her favorite Christian music and favorite artist, Luther Vandross.
Luanne is survived by her daughter, Anne Dietz (Cory); son, Erik Zehring; grandchildren, Hayden Dietz, Gracia Zehring, Brynn Dietz, and Shelby Zehring; sister, Linda Bond (George); and brother, Robert Kime (Dixie). She also leaves behind her brother-in-law, Jerry Feece (Julie Wisner) along with many nieces and nephews.
Luanne was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Donna Kime, and her sister, Laura Feece.
Luanne's laughter and beautiful smile will forever resonate with those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devout spirituality will continue to inspire and influence generations.
A Celebration of Life service will take place on February 1st, 2025 at Northway Church of Christ, 19525 Auten Rd in South Bend, Indiana. Service will be held at 1pm with reception to follow in fellowship hall next to the church.
