Lucy McIntosh (McNagny) Ellison, 84 passed away September 23, 2025, at The Waters of Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on November 19, 1940, in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of Phil M. and Lucy McNagny. Lucy graduated from Northside High School.
Lucy’s passions were gardening, reading and writing many term papers for her children and grandchildren throughout their high school and college years. Her fierce independence was matched by her competitive spirit. She was especially proud of holding her own on the basketball court-often playing (and winning) games of HORSE against her children’s high school friends.
She is survived by her daughter Lucy (Matt) Swartz of Fort Wayne, IN; sons David (Bettye) Ellison of Zionsville, IN and Mark Ellison of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren Nicholas, Matthew, William (Mariah), Thomas and Lucy Swartz, Harper, Hank (Kacie) Ellison, Mark and Brandon Ellison; and one great grandchild, Zayne Ellison.
Lucy was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, David H. Ellison; as well as her brothers William, Phil and Bayard McNagny.
Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Waters of Fort Wayne or Stillwater Hospice. Arrangements entrusted by DO McComb and sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN.
