Margaret Malinda Long

Margaret M. P. Long was born on January 17, 1919 in Fort Wayne, and entered the life eternal on September 9, 2016 at the Hearth of Sycamore in Fort Wayne. She was the daughter of Raymond A. and Hilda M. Kreigh. Margaret was a member of Trinity English Evangelical Lutheran Church, and was very active in all areas of church activities. She was also active in a variety of women’s clubs and social organizations. In February of 1942 she married Gene Long, and together they raised two sons. Margaret was a wonderful mother, and a very kind and loving person who especially enjoyed being with her family.

Surviving are her sons Robert (Marylee) Long of Fort Wayne, and Steven Long of Fort Wayne, a sister Virginia Stuck of Fort Wayne, granddaughters Sarah (Damien Guillaume) Long of East Lansing MI, Anna (Seth Humphrey) Long-Humphrey of Nashville, TN, and a great grandson Samuel Humphrey of Nashville, TN.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Gene Long, parents Raymond and Hilda Kreigh, and sisters Annabelle Ertel and Velma Ausderan.

Funeral services are Saturday, September 17th at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity English Evangelical Lutheran Church, 450 West Washington Blvd. Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation beginning a 9:00A.M. The Reverend Dr. Gary M. Erdos officiating.

Memorials are to the Dorcas Circle at the church and Heartland Hospice.
