Marian M. Whitsel

Marian M. Whitsel, 84, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Riverbend Healthcare in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on June 25, 1928 in Schenectady, New York to the late Wayne E. and Viola (Dicus) McKibben. She married Gilbert Whitsel on November 26, 1948. Mrs. Whitsel was a homemaker and co-owner/operator of Whitsel Landscaping. She was a member of Liquid Church. She is also survived by her children, Randy (Mary Beth Carey) Whitsel of Columbus Junction, Iowa, Tim (Dr. Carol) Whitsel of Springfield, Oregon, Ben (Jeanie) Whitsel of Ft. Wayne; her sisters, Nancy (Tony) Wilson of Colorado, Pat (Bob) Mansperger of Ohio and Claire (Craig) Walters of Ohio; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Liquid Church, 8631 US Highway 27, Ft. Wayne, IN 46816 with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the church. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
