Marilyn B. Dafforn

Marilyn B. Dafforn, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away January 6, 2014. She was born on August 2, 1931 in Fort Wayne to the late Andrew A. and Norma L. (Bandelier) Yoquelet. She worked her entire life serving children. She helped start the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church day care and volunteered the past 11 years at Waynedale Elementary School in Beth’s Kindergarten Room. She enjoyed being outside, working in her garden, and doing puzzles. She was also an active member in Faith Lutheran Church. Surviving family include her children, Hollie (Scott) Hormann and Bruce (Beth) Dafforn; grandchildren, Allison and Brett Hormann, Ryan, Emma, and Rachel Dafforn; sister, Virginia Cox; and brother, Paul Yoquelet. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Thomas L. Dafforn; 2 brothers, Byron and Larry Yoquelet; and a grandson, Alex Hormann. A funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-7 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
