To Bob, Rob, Ann, Gerard and families, and to the Kaehler and Spohn families,

I was so sorry to learn of Marilyn's passing.  I always felt so welcomed by her - her laugh, charm, and generosity were amazing.  Gallimere summers won't be the same without her.  She will certainly be missed.

Mrs. Kehler (Janet Spohn) was my (Diane's) first grade teacher in her first year of teaching at Mark Twain Elementary School in 1954 and lived next door to my cousin on Oakdale in Royal Oak. I do genealogy as a hobby which is how I found Mrs. Randolph and have a memory for names as well . 
Please the sympathy of my husband and I on your loss. I still remember you printing out letters on paper for us to copy and guiding my hand in writing them with your soft hands. Thank you.

Dear Bob and family,
We were so saddened to learn of Marilyn and Jean’s passing.  Our family has such happy memories of your family and spending their early years growing up on Sylvan Drive.  Our Wendy had fun playing with Jean, and Kristin remembers playing with Rob. We had fun visiting with you at your summer home at Gallimere Beach, and when you came to Linden Hills to spend time with us there.  We are so sorry to hear that Jean had cancer and that Marilyn suffered from Alzheimer’s.  Hopefully you have some family nearby to help share all the happy memories and and give you love and support.

Bob, My favorite memory of Marilyn is setting in your kitchen in Barrington and she was leading an organizational meeting of WICB with 5 of us around your table.  While leading the meeting the phone rang and it was something to do with taxes.  Well Marilyn got the information for the person on the phone and continued leading the meeting hardly missing a beat, and laughing about life's funny situations.  Because of Marilyn's good organizing skills and persistence on following the NAIC rules, WICB is still an active, involved investment club.  Those of us in the WICB want to say thank you to Marilyn for her great work.  Marilyn always had a great smile that lit up her whole face.  She was fun to be with.  John and I had such fun being with you and Marilyn through the years.  I feel blessed for having known her.   

Bob and Family:  My sympathy to you and your family on the passing of Marilyn.  She was a wonderful lady and you two were a delightful couple.  It's a shame that when we met a couple years ago we were in the midst of the Alzheimer struggle with our wives and did not get to enjoy them at their best of times.  We still had some fun times though.  
When you get settled in, please let me know and we can meet somewhere for lunch.  Hang in there my friend.  Ed

Dear Bob and family, On behalf of myself and my Mother, Felice Desmarais, we want to share our thanks for knowing you and Marilyn as an integral part of the Gallimere Beach family. One of the things we enjoyed were Marilyn's Sunday brunches on the lakeside patio. She was a lovely hostess, with a big smile and a big laugh. Loved that laugh! She always looked on the sunny side of life. She make us feel welcome, like family. She was a real gem. We miss Marilyn and you at Gallimere.

I enjoyed the years  i was able to share with Marilyn, I will miss her talks, walks, her laugh and smiles❤️

So loved being with Marilyn at  garden club and book club.  We had so many good times.   Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family

Bob - Although memories are limited to recent years, we cherish  the time we spent with you as a dynamic couple.   Just from listening to you both share life's stories and travels together, you were a great team!  Marilyn was quite the strong and loving wife and mother.   

My heart-felt condolences to you and your family.  She is dearly loved by so many friends and family.....and she deeply cherished her friends and family in return.

God Bless you all!  Always remember the good times - you have alot of them!  

My sincere condolences to Bob and the entire family. Jean talked a lot about her Mama And Daddy to me when Gerard, Jean, Shannon, and Aaron lived in VA Beach.   I loved Marlyn.  We had so much fun when we were with her. She treated us like family.
