Marjorie Eileen Ferguson

She was born December 4, 1919, in New Sharon, IA to Walter and Dorothy Eileen Hill Lee. She graduated in 1937 from New Sharon High School and completed her degree in Stenography from Capital City Commercial College, Des Moines IA, in 1938. She was a member of Alpha Lambda Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and as well Methodist churches in both Sun City, AZ and Newton, IA.

She married Dr. Joseph Palmer Hull on May 12, 1940, in Des Moines, IA who later died in 1964. She married Stuart Ferguson of Newton, IA on April 17, 1988. They moved to Glendale, AZ in 1992 until October 2002 when they moved to Fort Wayne, IN. Stuart passed away January 5, 2003.

Marjorie worked two years (1938-1940) at State Finance Company in Des Moines, IA as a secretary. She was later employed at the Jasper County Savings Bank in Newton, IA in the Installment Loan Dept (1965). She was also secretary to former presidents Arnold Peters, Donald Runger and Denis Wilcox from 1965 until her retirement on May 19, 1986. She was appointed Administrative Officer in 1975. Marjorie also held the office of Secretary and Assistant Treasurer of Anita Bancorporation. She also was the In-Bank Chairman of the Newton Community Chest Drive in 1975.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Dorothy Eileen Hill Lee, husband Joseph Hull (1964), son Franklin Hull (1987) and husband Stuart Ferguson (1988).

She is survived by her daughter, Priscilla Lou Kreager (Michael), two grandchildren, Michelle Hurd (Kelly) and Brad Kreager, five great grandchildren and three great step grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Wednesday September 13, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home 8325 Covington Road Fort Wayne, IN with visitation two hours prior.
