Marjorie May Smith

Marjorie May Smith, age 92, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Monday, June 23, 2025. She was born March 30, 1933 in Fort Wayne to the late Albert Henry and Lydia Lenora (née Oechsle) Stoner.

She graduated from Central High School in 1952, and married Elmer Smith, Jr. on Febrary 16, 1952 in Fort Wayne. Marjorie worked at the Seed Co., Stoner's Fun Store (with her dad, brother, and sometimes her husband) and retired from Lincoln National Life Insurance Co.

She enjoyed baking, knitting, going out to eat with friends and family. Marjorie loved her friends, family, and church family from Stokes Chapel in Montgomery, Michigan; and their little dog, Lucy.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Elmer Smith, Jr.; daughters, Deborah (Arthur) Case and Cheryl (Jerry) Huffman; grandchildren, Candace (Marcus) Rogers, Nicole Ditzenburger, Danielle (Mark) Becraft, Dustin (Becky) Case, Ariel (Mark) Shuler, Andrea (Ryan) Schaefer, Brittney (Tom) Kohnke, and Levi Huffman; 17 great-grandchildren; and brother, Dick (De) Stoner. She was preceded in death by three siblings that passed before their first birthday.

Funeral Service is 10:30 AM, Monday, June 30, 2025 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Interment at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Friends and family will also be received 2 - 5 PM, Sunday, June 29 at the funeral home.
