Mark Allan Smith passed away at home on Wednesday April 23, 2025 at the age of 71, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born on February 13, 1954, in Fort Wayne, Mark was a loving husband to Gina (Sutorius), his wife of nearly 52 years, and father to his children, Jamison, Jenni, and Joelle.
Mark was a graduate of Elmhurst High School, class of '73 and retired from Dana Corporation after 30 years. He loved to play golf, take 'chip trips' and watch his kids and grandkids in all their sports and activities. Mark was a man of few words, but intentional in the unconditional love he had for his family.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Gina; children, Jamison (Jennifer) Smith, Jenni (Rex) Rhodehamel, and Joelle (JR) Ruefer; grandchildren, Alexah, Braeden & Camden Smith, Raegan, Reese & Cooper Rhodehamel and Jackson & Audrey Ruefer; brother, Greg (Sandy) Smith; and sisters, Becky Smith and Beth Thelen.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley (Stump) Smith and father, Walter 'Tom' Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday May 3, 2025 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46805 with visitation two hours prior.
