Martha Jane Anderson

Martha Jane Anderson 85, of Fort Wayne was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on August 12, 2022. She was born Martha Jane Shoudel on September 6, 1936. She loved her family and left this earth on the wings of an Angel. Martha always prayed that all would be saved and reunited in Heaven. She was a devote Catholic and exhibited her love of God to everyone she knew. Martha was always available to help a person in need. She was an avid crocheter, rosary maker, and babysitter. Her love of playing cards would easily find her in game of Euchre or Hand and Foot. She left behind five children, David (Karen) Anderson, Susan (Robert) Smeltzley, William (Patricia) Anderson, Mary (Kenneth) Springer and Anne (Rick) Kerns; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Ilene Anderson. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Richard L. Anderson; and three sons, Michael, Edward, and Richard E. Anderson. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 10700 Aboite Center Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 3-7pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals 6810 Old Trail Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809. Entombment at Covington Memorial Gardens to follow the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Masses at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
