Martha "Marty" Joan Reighter

Martha Joan “Marty” Reighter, 80, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on March 15, 2026. She was surrounded by the love of her two daughters as she went to be with her Lord.

Marty was born February 6, 1946, in Fort Wayne, IN. Marty was a proud 1964 graduate of North Side High School. On July 24, 1965, she married the love of her life, David C. Reighter. Marty ’s greatest joy was her family; she was known for her fierce devotion to those whom she loved and took immense pride in raising her children. Her vibrant laugh and spirited personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Marty is survived by her children, Tiffany (Mike) Fries of Fort Wayne, Natalie (Kenneth) Hess of Huntertown, and David T. Reighter of Indianapolis. She was a devoted grandmother to her six grandchildren: Justin Clark, Tyler (Stacie Nieves) Clark, Haleigh (Ben Kelly) Clark, Sarah Hess Leah Skinner, and Ian Skinner.

Marty was preceded in death by a precious daughter, Lisa Elizabeth Reighter; her beloved husband, David C. Reighter; her mother, Joan Elizabeth Storey; and her father, Raymond Yost.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 22nd from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home - Pine Valley 1320 E Dupont Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 23rd, at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with calling one hour prior with Pastor Len Chayka officiating.

Burial will follow at Covington Memorial Gardens.
