Martie James "Alvin" Vollen, 67, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024. Martie was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on October 8, 1956, a son of the late Frederick and Joan (DuBeere) Vollen. He worked for Keller Development for over 50 years. Martie enjoyed riding his Harley and having a good time with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Taina Vollen; stepdaughters, Danielle Rodenbeck and Dana Schappacher; grandchildren, Gerald and Matthew; brothers, Byron (Linda), Drew (Connie) Vollen, Frederic (Kelly), Marc (Kim) Vollen; sister, Shelley Hedlund; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Martie was also preceded in passing by his daughters, Amy Vollen and Brittney Vollen; stepdaughter, Heather Serres; and brother-in-law, Jim Hedlund. Visitation for Martie will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809.
