

Mary Margaret (Hill) McIntosh passed away on February 22, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born on June 1, 1925 in Anderson, Indiana. Mary was a ceramic artist. She attended Ohio State University studying art and ceramics. Her pursuits as a ceramist continued throughout her life, attending the Fort Wayne School of Art both as student and contributor to local art exhibits. Mary was involved in several local women, church. community and school groups serving on the board of some as well. She played significant roles in some of the early programs to feed and care for the elderly in Fort Wayne. She worked extensively with the Foellinger Foundation and the Fort Wayne Park Board. Mary was a member of the Fort Wayne Plymouth Congregational Church. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richard Keith McIntosh; a son, Dale McIntosh of Chicago, Illinois; a daughter, Patti Scalf of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; grandchildren, Taylor Brown and Conor Scalf; great-grand children Dylan, Kylie and Gage. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Robert H. Hill and Mary E. (Hurst) Hill; and a brother, Robert H. Hill, Jr. Funeral Service is 1:30 pm, Monday, February 29, 2016 at D. O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
