Mary Lois Moore

Mary L. Moore, 77, passed away on Nov. 5, 2014. She was born in Fort Wayne to the late Howard and Mildred Beard and married Richard Moore in 1958. She worked at Bonton Bakery as a cake decorator. She also worked for Ft. Wayne Community Schools and the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as the Arts and Crafts Director. She was a member of the Ft. Wayne League of the Blind, American Legion Post 296 women’s auxiliary, and longtime member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed knitting and giving handmade gifts to family and friends.

Surviving are sons Daniel (Pam) Moore of Canton, Ohio, Phillip (Sandy) Moore Roanoke, Ind., Matthew (Ginger) Moore of Terre Haute, Ind.; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 Wednesday November 12, 2014 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 917 W. Jefferson St. Fort Wayne, Indiana, with visitation 1 hour prior to service.

Visitation will also be Tuesday Nov. 11 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home 420 W. Wayne St. Fort Wayne, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, American Red Cross Armed Services Notification Center. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. www.klaehnfahlmelton.com
